Fast start earns win for Aviators

Saturday, June 30, 2018

The Aviators didn’t waste any time getting started tonight. Matthew Patton’s 3 RBIs, in one hit, gave the Aviators a solid 3 run lead at the bottom of the first.

Neither team would score after that until the bottom of the seventh, where a hit from Zach Heeke and an error from the Paints allow Milo Beam to score. In the eighth, Chillicothe got on the board and would not score again.

Starting pitcher Jacob Gilmore threw 5 scoreless innings, and his successor Garett Simmons threw another 2 scoreless innings showing an overall well-rounded performance in the Aviators’ 4-1 win against the Paints.

The Aviators play the Paints again tomorrow night at 6:05 PM.
