Aviators Home Opener June 1

Tuesday, June 1 will be the Aviators home opener at the new Loeb Stadium when the Terre Haute (IN) Rex visit Lafayette. The Aviators open the season on the road Thursday, May 27 at the Chillicothe Paints. The Aviators final regular season home game is Saturday, July 31 versus the Danville (IL) Dans.

The Aviators will play 30 home games and 30 road games with 8 different teams visiting Loeb Stadium this summer. New teams making their way to Lafayette in 2021 include the expansion Johnstown (PA) Mill Rats and two organizations which were formerly affiliated with major league baseball organizations – the Burlington (IA) Bees and Clinton (IA) Lumber Kings.

The Aviators will compete in a 4-team division with Danville, Illinois Valley (Peru, IL) and Terre Haute. The 2021 season is divided into two halves, with the first half division winner hosting a one-game playoff on Thursday, August 5.

The division winners compete for the Conference Championship in a one-game playoff on Saturday, August 7. The Conference Champions play in a best two of three championship series which begins on Monday, August 9.
