General Manager

David brings over 20 years of experience in professional and collegiate sports to the Aviators. He has had stints in Major League Baseball, Minor League Baseball, Independent League Baseball, the National Hockey League, Major League Soccer, the United Soccer League, as well as working on the college football side of the business for ESPN.

David began his career in 1999, as a ticket sales rep with the Detroit Tigers. He was a member of the front office staff for the World Champion Florida Marlins in 2003. Over the course of his career, David has had the unique privilege of helping build two brand new teams from the ground up (in 2005, with the Mesa Miners of the Golden Baseball League; and in 2016, with the New Britain Bees, of the Atlantic League).

Most recently, David served as the Senior Director of Ticket Sales for Hartford Athletic, of the United Soccer League. In addition to the aforementioned teams, David has also enjoyed sales and management roles with the NHL’s Florida Panthers, the Birmingham Barons (the AA affiliate of the Chicago White Sox), the MLS’ New England Revolution, as well as a role as a Corporate Sales Manager for ESPN, helping to run their college football bowl game in Birmingham, Alabama.

David was born in Fair Lawn, New Jersey and raised in Boca Raton, Florida. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Missouri. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University, in Miami, Florida. In his spare time, David enjoys bodybuilding and became a professional bodybuilder in 2019. David resides in West Lafayette, with his wife, Andrea and their son, Shawn.


Director of Ticket Sales

Alexander Atwood, more affectionately known as Zander, is the Aviators’ new Director of Ticket Sales, and is excited to bring a wealth of experience in sports and entertainment to the Greater Lafayette area’s best summer collegiate baseball team. 

A native of Valparaiso, IN, Zander has lived and worked in the Greater Lafayette area for the past four years as a ticket service and retention representative with Purdue University Athletics.  Before moving back to Indiana, Zander worked in ticket sales at both Western Michigan University Athletics and the Battle Creek Bombers summer collegiate baseball team of the Northwoods League. 

He also interned at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL in parade audience control at the Magic Kingdom. Zander received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / Sport Management from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI in 2014, and recently received his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Purdue University Global in June of 2020.

Zander recently married his wife Sandra in October of 2020, and they live together with their cat Ted.  Zander enjoys participating in and attending live sporting events and concerts, road-tripping to and exploring new places with his wife, and checking out new craft breweries and local eateries anywhere he goes.

Marketing & Community Relations Manager

Joey Schor is excited for this opportunity to be the Marketing & Community Relations Manager for the Lafayette Aviators as he is ecstatic to work with and immerse himself within the Greater Lafayette Community.

Joey comes from Denver, Colorado, where he spent the last three years as the Marketing/Promotions Director for the National Ballpark Museum. During his time at the museum, Joey became a baseball historian, and put the museum as a top 5 must see place to visit in Denver. Prior to working at the museum Joey was the Promotions Assistant for the Quad Cities River Bandits, Scoreboard/Music/Video Director for the Glendale Desert Dogs in the Arizona Fall League, and in college for Metro State University of Denver, Joey was the PA announcer, followed by the Play-by-Play Announcer for the school’s baseball and softball teams.

Since he was 8 years old, Joey’s passion has been baseball. He had one at-bat in middle school but has always known his calling was in the front office. When it comes to baseball, Joey is a wealth of knowledge. He is currently building a personal baseball book library and loves researching baseball history, especially the early days. His love for baseball was fueled by Dante Bichette and Joey’s grandfathers, to whom he has dedicated his career.

When not working or reading/researching about baseball history, you will find Joey in the community checking out the restaurant scene as Joey considers himself an aficionado of dining establishments. If you see Joey around town, make sure to say hi as he loves socializing.


Director of Promotions

Caela McBride, a born and raised Coloradan brings an exciting, and fun energy to the Lafayette Aviators as the Director of Promotions.

Caela has worked in Minor League Baseball for the past four years. Her most recent position was Promotions Director for the Kane County Cougars in Geneva, Illinois. She brings experience with in game entertainment, and theme night execution producing 25+ theme nights a season.

Caela is the proud oldest of two younger sisters, Maddie and Joelie. She received a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management, and a Bachelor of Administration in Business Administration at Colorado Mesa University. When not at the ballpark, Caela has various hobbies such as; painting, reading, playing with her dog Piper, and watching the Colorado Avalanche (Go Avs Go). On a long weekend you can catch Caela attending sporting events, and trying to cross off MLB ballparks from her list.


Director of Food & Beverage

Alex is happy to join the team as the Food and Beverage Manager and is excited to bring a new-and-improved experience to the new-and-improved Loeb Stadium for the Lafayette Aviators!

Born and raised in Lafayette, Alex had the chance of experiencing Loeb Stadium as a spectator for many years, and she can’t wait to watch others experience the new Loeb Stadium for the first time.

Along with working for the Aviators, she is also a part of the Levy team at Purdue working for Boilermaker Athletics and assists at Bankers Life Fieldhouse for Pacers games and other various events.  She has a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Food Management from Ball State University (Chirp chirp!) with a minor in Entrepreneurship.  She has previously worked at the DoubleTree by Hilton – Lafayette East as the Sales Coordinator, and before she graduated college, she was a server and hostess at the town favorite East End Grill in downtown Lafayette.

Alex lives in Lafayette with her two pups, Baxter and Layla.  She is an Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Cubs fan and cheers her sister on for the Northern Illinois volleyball team. She enjoys cooking, concerts, traveling with her friends and spending time with her family.


Head Athletic Trainer

Sarah McKenzie-Floyd is a BOC certified and Indiana Licensed Athletic Trainer. She is originally from Sydney, Australia. Sarah has 6 years of experience as a high school athletic trainer. She currently works as the Assistant Athletic Trainer at Lafayette Jefferson High School (since 2017) and Head Athletic Trainer for the Lafayette Aviators (since 2018) for Franciscan Health Sports Medicine. Sarah completed her Masters of Education in Sports Management with a special interest in International Sports Medicine in 2017.

In 2015, Sarah graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University receiving her Bachelors of Science degree in Athletic Training. She then went on to Graduate school at Bowling Green State University where she worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer.

Sarah started her career working for Mercy Health at Central Catholic High School, Toledo Ohio (2015-2017). From 2017 to present she has worked for Franciscan Health Sports Medicine providing outreach services.

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time with family and friends. Trying out new cooking recipes and visiting MLB ballparks with her fiance. Sarah loves to travel and tries to visit her family in Australia every two years.
